NOBODY

  1. Nobody can predict when Jesus will return; Jesus Himself did not know (Mt. 24:36, 42, 43, 50; 25:13; Mk. 13:32, 33, 35; 1 Thess. 5:1-3; 2 Pet. 3:10).
  2. Nobody today can perform miracles (Zech. 13:1-3; Jn. 11:17; 1 Cor. 13:8-12; Eph. 4:8-14).
  3. Nobody today is an apostle—an eyewitness of the resurrected Christ, able to give others miraculous powers (Acts 1:22; 8:12-18; 1 Cor. 9:1; 15:8, 9; Rev. 2:2).
  4. Nobody today receives Holy Spirit baptism, because only “one baptism” remains: “the washing of water” (Eph. 4:5; 5:26; cf. Mt. 28:18-20).
  5. Nobody today is receiving new revelations from God (Jn. 16:13; Gal. 1:6-9; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Jude 3).
  6. Nobody on earth today is worthy of being worshiped (Mt. 4:9, 10; Acts 10:25, 26).
  7. Nobody is “born in sin” (2 Sam. 12:23; Ezek. 18:20; 28:15; Mt. 18:3; 19:14).
  8. Nobody who has ever sinned is “good enough” to go to Heaven without the blood of Jesus (Isa. 59:1, 2; Mt. 26:28; Lk. 17:10; Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom. 3:23; 5:8-10; 6:3-5, 16-18, 23; 1 Jn. 1:7).
  9. Nobody “has to” sin—there is always a way of escape, and God will hold us accountable if we do not resist (1 Cor. 10:13; cf. Rom. 6:23; Jam. 1:12-16; 1 Pet. 1:15, 16; 1 Jn. 2:3-6).
  10. Nobody can be saved outside of Christ’s one true church (Mt. 16:18; Acts 2:38-41, 47; 20:28; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:22, 23; 2:16; 4:4; 5:23).
  11. Nobody can be saved in a different way than what God said (Mt. 7:21-23; Acts 19:1-5; Heb. 5:9; 1 Pet. 1:22).
  12. Nobody today is living under the Law of Moses (Rom. 7:4-7; Eph. 2:11-16; Col. 2:14-17; Heb. 7:12; cf. Mt. 17:1-5).
  13. Nobody today can be saved like the thief on the cross, who spoke directly to Jesus and was forgiven under the Old Covenant (Lk. 5:20-24; Acts 2:38-41; Heb. 9:15-17).
  14. Nobody living under the New Covenant changed from an alien sinner to a Christian by “asking Jesus to come into their hearts” or praying a prayer (Prov. 28:9; Jn. 16:23; 1 Pet. 3:12; cf. Jn. 9:31).
  15. Nobody can be saved without believing in Jesus as the risen Son of God (Mk. 16:16; Jn. 8:24; Rom. 10:9, 10; 1 Cor. 15:1-4).
  16. Nobody can be saved by faith alone (Jn. 8:30-44; 12:42, 43; Jam. 2:14-26).
  17. Nobody can be saved without repenting—changing their minds and deciding to live for God (Mt. 4:17; Acts 2:38; 17:30, 31; cf. Lk. 13:3, 5; 2 Cor. 7:10).
  18. Nobody can be saved without confessing faith in Jesus before people (Mt. 10:32; Acts 8:37; Rom. 10:9-11; 1 Tim. 6:12).
  19. Nobody can be saved without being immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins (Mk. 16:15, 16; Jn. 3:5; Acts 2:38; 9:6; 10:6, 35, 48; 22:16; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Rom. 6:3-5, 16-18; Gal. 3:27; Eph. 5:26; Col. 2:11-13; Titus 3:5; Heb. 10:22; 1 Pet. 3:20, 21).
  20. Nobody can remain saved without walking in the light after baptism (Acts 8:12-24; Heb. 10:23-31; 2 Pet. 2:20-22; 1 Jn. 1:6-9; 2:3-6; 5:3; Rev. 2:10).
  21. Nobody can be saved or remain saved without adhering to sound doctrine (Mt. 7:16-20; Acts 19:1-5; Gal. 1:6-9; 5:4; 1 Tim. 4:16; 2 Tim. 1:13; 2:15-18; Titus 2:1; 1 Pet. 4:11; 2 Pet. 3:15-18; 2 Jn. 9-11).
  22. Nobody can please God in worship by deviating from what He authorized in the New Testament (Jn. 4:23, 24; Col. 3:17).
  23. Nobody who is an erring child of God can go to Heaven without confessing sins in truly penitent prayer and returning to faithfulness (Acts 8:22-24; Jam. 5:16, 19, 20; 1 Jn. 1:6-9; 2:1-6).
  24. Nobody in Christ’s church should fall away without the church actively seeking his restoration (Mt. 18:15-17; Lk. 17:3, 4; 1 Cor. 5; 2 Cor. 2, 7; Gal. 5:4; 6:1; 2 Thess. 3:6, 14, 15; Jam. 5:19, 20).
  25. Nobody who is a “lukewarm” child of God should expect Jesus’ approval on the Judgment Day (Mt. 25:30; Lk. 14:25-35; Rev. 3:15, 16).
  26. Nobody will be exempt from judgment on the Last Day (Jn. 5:27-29; 12:48; 2 Cor. 5:10).
  27. Nobody has to go to eternal torment—all can be saved through Jesus, if they choose to trust and obey Him (Deut. 30:19; Josh. 24:15; Ezek. 18:23; Mt. 7:21; 25:46; Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8-10; 1 Tim. 2:3, 4; Heb. 2:9; 5:9; 2 Pet. 3:9; 1 Jn. 2:2).
  28. Nobody should miss the greatest opportunity ever—to be with God forever in eternal bliss! (Mt. 25:21, 34, 46; Jn. 14:1-3).
